That's right. It's time again for our Friday nite hunt and this week we will be doing something a little different. We are going on a picnic. Yep, you heard me. Bring along your favorite goodies to eat, drink and share. wine is always a hit, cheese, cookies, apples, all your favorite picnic fare. Tables are already set up and nice big grassy area for everyone to mingle and visit.
O, I guess I should also mention, you might want to bring along some demon and repond slayers. The picnic area, while relaxing, is at the far end of the Sanctuary dungeon.
The Sanctuary is inhabited by Changelings, Orcs, Orc Bombers, Ratmen, Succubus, Titans, Ogre Lords, etc. It also has trap spots with arrow traps that like to shoot at you repeatedly.
Tamers need to be aware that pets can get a bit "hard headed" in here. I went on my tamer the other nite to check it out and my Wyrm went NUTS with the amount of spawn. You may want to bring along a fully charged, insured pet ball in case Spot goes wandering off too far.
There are not any peerless in Sanctuary but the NPC you need for the Spellweaver Summon Fiend quest is at the end in our picnic location. There are several other quest givers there as well so this would be a good opportunity to accept, and possibly complete, some of the quests that can only be done here. I believe the Stout Rope (which looks like a whip) can only be obtained in Sanctuary.
Just because there are not peerless here, don't think it's a cake walk. There is a LOT of spawn of the above mentioned types. Similar at least to the amount at the spawns in Ish that we've done in the past. Also, you cannot recall in or OUT of Sanctuary. Once we reach the end and have our picnic, we will need to fight (or RUN) our way out.
We will meet up at the Yew Trammel gate starting at 8:00 and everyone will be gated in near Sanctuary starting at 8:30 p.m. Eastern. If you need to come late, there is a very nice rune house right outside the Luna walls with runes to the dungeons and you can always join us there. No quest is required for admission for this one.

Open letter to anyone who hasnt gone into Sanctuary before: This place is DANGEROUS if you start to get sloppy! Be careful and watch out for each other! The one time I went in on a char who had no stealth (by myself) I died several times...even with stealth, you get revealed pretty often.

And I'll be remembering to remind Eppy, to remind Anne, to remind Flutter.

Santuary is fun.

One small suggestion for Meleers. If you got a hit area weapon bring it along, as things spawn up quick. Pixie swatter is a good one, and so is the Blaze. Changelings aren't all that, but then when your whacking em with a Pixie Swatter, I think that really pisses em off. Was good fighting myself, but the real me sure knows where to hit me, to make it hurt.

One other thing I'd like to bring up for tonite that is unrelated to the hunt.

For those who may not have heard, Crazy Joe has set up a donation vendor for Hurricane relief. Any who helped out during the Tsunami disaster may remember that we raised quite a bit of gold which was turned into cash that went directly to the Red Cross. The Vendor is at our guild's vendor mall and is dressed in Black and standing at the second set of doors into the mall.

After the hunt tonite, I'm going to open a gate over for any that are interested in donating. I'm asking you NOT to buy from our vendors this evening and instead donate to the Red Cross vendor by making a purchase directly from that vendor. Just in case you are wondering, that vendor is completely set up and run by Crazy Joe. No one in the guild has any access to that vendor. All items on the vendor were donated and priced to raise money for disaster relief.
